The Holy Trinity — mastery of bolter, melta and flame special rule

The Holy Trinity is the doctrinal heart of the Sororitas armoury — mastery of the three sacred patterns of war. Every Battle Sister is drilled without restriction on the bolter, the melta and the flame: bolt shells for the disciplined firing line, melta for armour and the walking engines of the enemy, promethium for the press of bodies at close quarters. Where a lesser soldier specialises in one, a Sister is expected to master all three and choose the right sacred pattern for the target before her. The faith of the Emperor's Daughters is proven as much in the correct killing tool as in the killing itself.

The Shield of Faith special rule

The Shield of Faith is the innate ward every Sister of Battle carries into the field: a 6+ invulnerable save against any attack, the Emperor's grace turning the blade aside at the last instant. It is a property of her faith, not her wargear — it clings to the Repentia who has cast off her plate as surely as to the Canoness in her artificer armour. This ward, and not a heavy body, is what lets a mortal woman stand unflinching in fire that would fell a stronger soldier. Against a single incoming attack, the Emperor's Aegis miracle may harden the Shield of Faith to a 4+ invulnerable save.

Zealotry special rule

Zealotry is the steadied nerve of the faithful — faith holding the line where courage alone would fail. A Sister of Battle meets terror with improved Nerve and Cool, unshaken by horrors that would rout a lesser soldier, certain that death in the Emperor's service is no defeat but a homecoming. The penitents stand further still beyond fear: a Sister Repentia, having given herself wholly to atonement, never tests against terror at all. There is nothing left in her to frighten — only the eviscerator, the enemy, and the debt she means to pay in blood.
