The Catachan Captain is the "Devil" — the front-line knife-master who leads the Regiment from the point of the ambush, not the rear of a staff column. He deploys hidden with his warriors, springs the trap in person, and carves through soft targets with a relic devil's-claw before the enemy has registered the reveal. Two Attacks off a strong statline and a refractor field keep him alive at the killing range where Catachan fights, and his Orders bend the whole gang toward the close assault.
Special Rules
- Voice of Command (two Orders): at the start of the round this fighter may issue up to two Orders to friendly fighters within its command range, driving the ambush and the charge — the Devil's roar carried down the line.
- Born of the Jungle: this fighter may set up hidden, and its Catachan fighting knife or devil's-claw re-rolls a failed Wound against a target of Toughness 3 or less.
- Expendable & Disciplined: its resilience is discipline, cover and terrain rather than a hardened body — a mortal soldier who wins by being unseen and by holding the men around him steady.
