Commissar equipment list
Allowed
  • Laspistol
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Power Sword
  • Chainsword
  • Carapace Armour
  • Refractor Field
  • Grav Chute
  • Commissars Writ
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade

The Commissar buys from an officer's list. Its pistols run from the laspistol to the bolt and plasma pistol; a power sword or chainsword arms it for the close work it is built for. Carapace and a refractor field are both open, worn together for the officer who holds the line from the front, and a grav-chute puts it in the drop. Frag and krak grenades round out the kit. Its cap and writ are the Aura of Discipline itself, carried by the chassis rather than chosen from the list.

Medic Master Vox equipment list
Allowed
  • Laspistol
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Bayonet
  • Carapace Armour
  • Grav Chute
  • Medic Narthecium
  • Master Vox
  • Augmetics
  • Frag Grenade

The specialist buys from a support list. A hot-shot laspistol or lasgun and a bayonet are all it carries for the fight; the weight of its kit is elsewhere — the narthecium that keeps a Scion alive, the Master Vox that relays an Order past line of sight, and augmetics to offset a lasting injury. Carapace and a grav-chute put it in the drop with the fighters it supports. Frag grenades are its only ordnance. It is armed to survive, not to lead the killing.

Scion Aspirant equipment list
Allowed
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Bayonet
  • Carapace Armour
  • Grav Chute
  • Frag Grenade

The Aspirant buys from the cadet's list — narrow, but every entry still elite. A hot-shot lasgun and hot-shot laspistol give it the same armour-stripping fire as its seniors; a bayonet answers the close work; carapace and a grav-chute make it a drop-trooper from its first battle. Frag grenades are its only ordnance. There is no cheap chaff option to fall back on: the youngest Scion is armed and armoured as a storm-trooper, only less practised.

Scion Gunner equipment list
Allowed
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Plasma Gun
  • Hotshot Volley Gun
  • Bayonet
  • Carapace Armour
  • Grav Chute
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade

The Gunner buys from a fire-support list. Its centrepiece is the hot-shot volley gun or a plasma gun, one heavy piece of the strike's surgical firepower; a hot-shot laspistol and a bayonet cover everything closer. Carapace and a grav-chute drop it in with the line. Frag and krak grenades round out the kit. It is built to carry one gun that matters and to put it where the drop needs it most.

Scion Special Weapons equipment list
Allowed
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Plasma Gun
  • Meltagun
  • Hotshot Volley Gun
  • Bayonet
  • Carapace Armour
  • Grav Chute
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
  • Hotshot Hand Flamer

The Special-Weapons Scion buys from a hard-target list — one surgical gun from a short menu: a plasma gun, a meltagun, or the hot-shot volley gun, chosen for the job the drop was launched to do. A hot-shot lasgun or laspistol and a bayonet back it up; carapace and a grav-chute carry it in. Frag and krak grenades complete the kit. Its list is narrow by intent, built around the single weapon that answers a Brute, a vehicle, or the heaviest armour on the field.

Tempestor equipment list
Allowed
  • Laspistol
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Command Las
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Plasma Gun
  • Meltagun
  • Power Sword
  • Chainsword
  • Carapace Armour
  • Schola Refractor
  • Grav Chute
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
  • Photon Flash Grenade

The Tempestor buys from an officer's list. Its signature sidearm is the command-las, alongside the full run of pistols and hot-shot arms; a plasma gun or meltagun gives it a second axis of fire, and a power sword or chainsword arms the close work. Carapace under a Schola refractor field keeps it standing, a grav-chute puts it in the drop, and frag, krak, and photon-flash grenades round out the kit. Its breadth lets one officer aim the strike and fight in it at once.

Tempestor Prime equipment list
Allowed
  • Laspistol
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Command Las
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Plasma Gun
  • Meltagun
  • Power Sword
  • Chainsword
  • Power Fist
  • Carapace Armour
  • Schola Refractor
  • Grav Chute
  • Master Vox
  • Vox Caster
  • Magnoculars
  • Preysight
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
  • Photon Flash Grenade

The Tempestor Prime buys from the widest list in the gang. Its command-las and the full pistol range arm it, with a plasma gun or meltagun for a heavier shot and a power sword, chainsword, or power fist for the press. Carapace under a Schola refractor field keeps the commander alive; a Master Vox and a vox-caster carry its Orders across a scattered drop; magnoculars and a target-designator mark the kill. A grav-chute and the full grenade run complete a loadout built to place the strike, aim it, and lead it from the front.

Tempestus Scion equipment list
Allowed
  • Hotshot Laspistol
  • Laspistol
  • Hotshot Lasgun
  • Meltagun
  • Plasma Gun
  • Bayonet
  • Carapace Armour
  • Grav Chute
  • Preysight
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
  • Marksman Hotshot Lasgun

The Scion buys from the line list — a hot-shot lasgun and laspistol for its armour-stripping fire, with a meltagun or plasma gun available when the squad needs a harder answer, and a bayonet for the close work. Carapace and a grav-chute make it a drop-trooper; a target-designator lets it paint the marked kill for the rest of the strike. Frag and krak grenades round out the kit. Its list is the template every other Scion role is cut from.
