The Tempestor Prime is the strike commander — the officer who drops with the gang rather than directing it from the rear. Voice of Command lets this fighter issue two Orders each round, and the Prime leans them into the precise, armour-cracking kill: 'Take Aim!', 'Bring It Down!', and the Regiment's own 'Mark Target!'. A master-crafted command-las and a power weapon arm the officer; carapace under a Schola refractor field keep it standing; a grav-chute carries it down with the insertion and a Master Vox relays its Orders across a scattered drop. With BS 2+ and two Attacks the Prime is dangerous in its own right, but its worth is the two Orders that aim the whole strike. It is elite, never a super-body — the Prime falls to the same wounds as any Scion, and the gang is built around keeping it alive to give the order that ends the fight.

Where the Prime aims the whole insertion, the Tempestor aims a wing of it, leaning the same precise Orders into the hot-shot kill. It carries a command-las and a power weapon, wears carapace beneath a Schola refractor field, and drops on a grav-chute with the fighters it leads. BS 2+ and two Attacks make it a capable killer, but its value is the Order it spends turning a handful of elite guns onto the one target that matters. The Commissar is the Schola's iron made flesh — the discipline officer who drops with the strike and holds it steady on the ground. Its Aura of Discipline lets nearby Scions re-roll a failed Nerve test and lends them a further Attack in the press, the cold certainty of the Progenium radiating out to six inches. A bolt pistol and a power sword arm it for the close work; carapace under a refractor field keep it alive; a grav-chute puts it in the insertion with the fighters it steadies. Its cap and writ are the Aura of Discipline itself — where the Commissar stands, the strike does not break. The Tempestus need morale least of any Guard, and use the Commissar instead as a force-multiplier on an already-disciplined line.

The Tempestus Medic and Master Vox-Scion are the strike's twin specialists — the body that keeps a Scion alive and the body that keeps the Orders flowing. The Medic's narthecium grants a Feel No Pain 6+ aura on the field and better recovery afterward; the Master Vox relays one Order beyond the officer's line of sight, so a scattered drop still fights as one. Armed only with a hot-shot laspistol and a blade, wearing carapace and a grav-chute, this fighter is fragile and vital in equal measure — a single Attack, a specialist's nerve, no pretension to the front line. In a gang that fields fewer bodies than any sibling and cannot spare a single one, the specialist who keeps the finest whole earns its place many times over.

The Tempestus Scion is the signature body of the strike — the carapace-armoured storm-trooper with an armour-stripping hot-shot lasgun and a grav-chute, worth far more than the Guardsman it leaves behind on the muster rolls. A Scion drops from reserve onto the target, fires an AP-2 volley that cracks armour the common lasgun cannot touch, and carries a target-designator to paint the marked kill for the squad. A reliable BS, carapace, and the drop are the whole of its trade: quality and placement in exchange for numbers. This is the leaned elite bulk of a Tempestus gang — not the cheapest ganger any Regiment fields, but the best, and the body every other role in the strike is built to support. Few Regiments field a line body this good; none field as few of them.

A kitbash option — off the stock kit, a celebrated conversion.

The Scion Special-Weapons carries the surgical guns — a plasma gun by default, or a meltagun or hot-shot volley gun drawn from the strike's armoury for the job at hand. This is the fighter a Tempestus gang drops onto the target it cannot answer with hot-shot lasguns alone: a Brute, a vehicle, a fighter in the heaviest armour. A hot-shot laspistol and a blade round out the kit; carapace and a grav-chute carry it in with the rest. A steady BS and a cold nerve make the single, decisive shot the reason the body exists — it drops into range of one hard target and breaks it before it can answer.

The Scion Gunner is the strike's fire support — the body that drops with a hot-shot volley gun and turns it on anything armoured enough to survive the line's rifles. That gun's Rapid Fire (3) throws a storm of armour-piercing las downrange; its Unwieldy bulk is the trade for carrying that much firepower on one fighter. Carapace and a grav-chute put the Gunner in the insertion with the rest, and a steady BS makes every one of those shots count. Where the Special-Weapons Scion answers a single hard target, the Gunner answers a crowd of them — the surgical firebase that opens the drop and covers the extraction, melting elites and light vehicles with volume the Tempestus rarely brings anywhere else.

The Scion Aspirant is the Schola cadet — the youngest of the storm-troopers, and still an elite by any other measure. It carries a hot-shot lasgun and laspistol, wears the same carapace as its seniors, and drops on the same grav-chute; only its greener statline and single Wound mark it as unproven. This is the cheap end of a Tempestus roster, but there is no chaff here — the Progenium musters no levies and no Conscripts, so even the cadet fights in armour with an armour-stripping gun. The Aspirant is where a gang grows its next Scion: blooded in the drop, promoted with experience, it is the line's future learning the strike one insertion at a time.
