  • The narthecium is his defining wargear (medicae recovery, and the augmetics that turn a wound into an upgrade); a boltgun and chainsword for self Defence on the line; heavy bionics beneath his own plate; no specials or heavy weapons his work is rebuilding the line, not adding a gun to it

The narthecium defines the Apothecary — the tool of medicae recovery, and the augmetics that turn a wound into an upgrade. Over standard armour it carries a boltgun, bolt pistol and chainsword for self-defence on the line. It may fit heavy bionics beneath its own plate. No special or heavy weapons: its work is rebuilding the line, not bolting another gun onto it.

  • Mark Gravis
  • Mark Terminator
  • Boltgun
  • Storm Bolter
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol

  • Plasma Gun

Restricted
  • No heavy weapons the Iron Council commander anchors the line and ranges it with the bolter, not the Devastator rack; may wear any mark up to the 2+ Terminator plate and saturate with bionics up to the Bionic Exemplar master Relic

The Captain carries the command arsenal of the Iron Council. It may wear any mark up to the 2+ Terminator plate and saturate with bionics as far as the Bionic Exemplar master-relic; from the racks a boltgun or storm bolter, any pistol, the flamer, meltagun or plasma gun, and a chainsword, power sword or power fist. It takes no heavy weapons — the commander anchors the line and ranges it with the bolter, not the Devastator rack.

Centurion equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Centurion Warsuit
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Lascannon
  • Multi Melta
Restricted
  • The warsuit is iron over flesh made a chassis the machine Cult fields it readily as the infantry expression of its whole creed

The Centurion's armament is warsuit-scoped. Twin heavy weapons fit to the chassis rather than the hand — heavy bolter, lascannon or multi-melta, or integral siege drills swapped in for a melee-lean. The warsuit itself is iron over flesh made a chassis, and the machine cult fields it readily, the infantry expression of its whole creed.

Chaplain equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Terminator
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Crozius
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • Crozius only in melee (the priest's badge and weapon); a bolt or plasma pistol for ranged work; may take the Terminator mark; no basics, specials or heavy weapons his real trade is the cold resolve of the creed

In melee the Chaplain carries the crozius and nothing else — the priest's badge, and his weapon. A bolt or plasma pistol answers for ranged work. It may take the Terminator mark to stand at the front of the grind. No basic, special or heavy weapons: its real trade is the cold resolve of the creed, not the gun.

Dreadnought equipment list
Allowed
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Multi Melta
  • Lascannon
Restricted
  • Armament is walker Scoped the twin mount and the Dreadnought CCW are part of the chassis, not purchased from the shared racks; on the Iron Hands the interred hero is revered above the living and kept walking by the Techmarine's machine Cult

The Dreadnought's armament is walker-scoped — the twin mount and the Dreadnought close-combat weapon are part of the chassis, chosen from the heavy bolter, multi-melta or lascannon, never purchased from the shared racks. On the Iron Hands the interred hero is revered above the living and kept walking by the Techmarine's machine cult.

Librarian equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Terminator
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Force Weapon
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • Force weapon only in melee (the psyker's blade); a bolt or plasma pistol for ranged work; may take the Terminator mark to deep Strike into the grind; no basics, specials or heavy weapons his real armament is the psychic discipline

In melee the Librarian bears the force weapon alone — the psyker's blade. A bolt or plasma pistol serves at range. It may take the Terminator mark to deep-strike into the grind. No basic, special or heavy weapons: its true armament is the psychic discipline it commands.

Lieutenant equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Gravis
  • Mark Terminator
  • Boltgun
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Meltagun
  • Plasma Gun
  • Chainsword
  • Power Sword
  • Power Fist
  • Heavy Bionics
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • No heavy weapons the Lieutenant holds a stretch of the augmetic line and ranges it, not the heavy rack; may wear any mark up to the Terminator plate and take heavy bionics; a power weapon for the enemy that closes

The Lieutenant carries a broad command arsenal a step below the Captain's. It may wear any mark up to the Terminator plate and fit heavy bionics; from the racks a boltgun, a bolt or plasma pistol, the meltagun or plasma gun, and a chainsword, power sword or power fist. It takes no heavy weapons — the officer holds and ranges a stretch of the augmetic line, not the Devastator rack.

Marine equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Gravis
  • Mark Terminator
  • Boltgun
  • Storm Bolter
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Flamer

  • Grav Gun
  • Heavy Bolter

  • Heavy Bionics
  • Frag Grenade

Restricted
  • Heavy weapons are Devastator Spec (the heavy bolter, multi Melta and lascannon, Reputation Gated); a sergeant may take a power fist; Power, Gravis or Terminator plate rank Gated; heavy bionics available to any brother the line is saturated with iron

The Marine carries the broadest common arsenal in the strike force. Over standard armour it may take the Gravis or Terminator marks and fit heavy bionics — the whole line runs saturated with iron. From the racks a boltgun or storm bolter, any pistol, the full range of specials, and a chainsword or power fist for a sergeant. The heavy bolter, multi-melta and lascannon are Devastator-spec, reputation-gated for the brothers who anchor the fire.

Redemptor Dreadnought equipment list
Allowed
  • Plasma Cannon
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Multi Melta
  • Frag Grenade
Restricted
  • Armament is walker Scoped the macro plasma or gatling and the Redemptor fist are part of the chassis, not purchased from the shared racks; on the Iron Hands it is the greatest of the revered dead, kept alive by the Iron Father's machine Cult

The Redemptor Dreadnought's armament is walker-scoped — the macro plasma incinerator or gatling and the Redemptor fist are part of the chassis, drawn from the heavy mounts rather than the shared racks, with a chassis fragstorm launcher besides. On the Iron Hands it is the greatest of the revered dead, kept alive battle after battle by the Iron Father's machine cult.

Scout equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Carapace
  • Boltgun
  • Bolt Carbine
  • Astartes Shotgun
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Bolt Sniper Rifle
  • Combat Knife
  • Chainsword
  • Frag Grenade
Restricted
  • Carapace only (the neophyte mark); the sniper rifle is the Scout's one special (the forward marksman); no heavy weapons, no power weapons the cheap forward tier whose flesh is only beginning its iron

The Scout wears the carapace mark alone — the neophyte's plate — and carries a boltgun, bolt carbine or shotgun, a bolt pistol, and a knife or chainsword. Its single special is the sniper rifle, the forward marksman's weapon; it takes no heavy or power weapons. This is the cheap forward tier, its flesh only beginning its iron.

Techmarine equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Boltgun
  • Gorgons Wrath
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Meltagun
  • Grav Gun
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Power Fist
  • Medusan Lascutter
  • Servo Skull
  • Cyber Familiar
  • Signum
  • Servo Harness
  • Ironstone
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • Servo Arm (modelled as the power fist) in melee; the melta and grav specials for the smith's anti Armour work; a single heavy bolter fielded as a Tarantula Class emplacement, not hand Carried; bears the Iron Father relics Gorgon's Wrath, the Servo Harness and the Ironstone that keeps the walkers alive

The Techmarine fights with the servo-arm — modelled as a power fist — in melee, and takes the melta or grav specials for its anti-armour work. It may field a single heavy bolter as a Tarantula-class emplacement rather than hand-carry it. Above all it bears the Iron Father's relics: Gorgon's Wrath, the servo-harness, and the Ironstone that keeps the walkers alive, alongside the servo-skull and signum of its craft.
