  • No specials, no heavies the line body carries bolter and blade, and the Legion's specialists carry the rest

The Damned Legionnaire is the line body, and its list is deliberately narrow. It may take a bolt or neo-volkite pistol as a sidearm and one basic weapon — the cursed boltgun or the archaic volkite charger — with a chainsword for close work. Its armour is Power or Terminator plate worn over the ethereal field, and it may carry frag and krak grenades. It is barred from special and heavy weapons entirely: the line body brings bolter and blade, and leaves the heavier fire to the Legion's specialists.

  • He is the heavy of a gang too small for a weapons squad

The Heavy Legionnaire carries the strike force's one big gun. It may take a bolt pistol and boltgun for a sidearm, and exactly one weapon from the cursed heavy rack — heavy flamer, multi-melta, plasma cannon or the kitbashed volkite culverin. It wears Power or Terminator plate over the ethereal field and carries frag and krak grenades. It may take no special weapon, no melee weapon and no relic: it is the heavy of a band too small to field a weapons squad, and its whole purpose is the weight of fire it brings down.

  • The Animus Malorum relic aura is his by identity (see Signature), not a bought line

The Legionnaire Sergeant carries the widest list in the strike force. He may take any pistol, including the signature neo-volkite; either basic, the cursed boltgun or the volkite charger; and one of the cursed special weapons — flamer, meltagun or plasma gun. A chainsword, power sword, or the kitbashed Malefic power-scythe serves him in melee, and he wears Power or Terminator plate over the ethereal field, with frag and krak to hand. He takes no heavy weapon — the Sergeant leads the apparition, he does not anchor it. The Animus Malorum is his by rank and identity, not a line to be bought.

  • No heavy weapons and no relic aura the specialist carries the special gun, nothing more

The Special Legionnaire exists to carry the Legion's cursed special weapons. It may take a bolt or neo-volkite pistol as a sidearm, either basic weapon — cursed boltgun, volkite charger or the kitbashed cursed combi-volkite — and one from the full special rack — flamer, meltagun, plasma gun, the fire the Legion leans hardest upon — with a chainsword for close quarters. It wears Power or Terminator plate over the ethereal field and carries frag and krak grenades. It is barred from heavy weapons and bears no relic: the specialist brings its special gun and nothing grander.

Relic Damned Dreadnought equipment list
Allowed
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Multi Melta
  • Power Fist
Restricted
  • Everything the interred dead carries is Cursed, like the rest of the Legion's guns

The Relic Damned Dreadnought is armed as a walker, not a warrior. Its weapons — a cursed hull gun and the Dreadnought fist — are part of the spectral sarcophagus itself, fitted to the chassis rather than bought from the racks the infantry draw upon. Everything it carries is Cursed, like the rest of the Legion's arms, biting a point deeper and never failing for want of ammunition. The interred dead needs no equipment list: it wades in with what it was entombed carrying, and that is enough.
