The Legionnaire Sergeant is the apex of the revenant strike force and the only authority within it. There is no command above him — the dead answer to no chain. He fights with the sharpest reflexes and the steadiest will of any Damned: three attacks at the charge, a power sword in one hand and the archaic neo-volkite pistol in the other. Power armour wraps him, an ethereal field-save wraps the armour, and he leads from the very front of the apparition, materialising with his warriors and burning down whatever stands before them. He bears the Animus Malorum, the relic of Sergeant Attica Centurius. Once a battle, a Damned that falls near him may be dragged back to its feet. Warp-Madness leaves him fearless and unbreakable, though that same madness can pull even the Sergeant toward the foe. Dread makes him a terror to face. And They Shall Know No Fear is subsumed wholly into his relentless resolve. He is the heart of the dead band — few, costly, and impossible to command from across the field.

A kitbash option — off the stock kit, a celebrated conversion.

The Special Legionnaire is the Legion's cursed specialist, a veteran of the dead who carries the strike force's heavier fire. Where the line body bears a boltgun, this Champion materialises with a meltagun, flamer, plasma gun or archaic volkite in hand. Every muzzle is wreathed in the Legion's cursed flame. His statline is a plain Marine's — two attacks over three wounds at Toughness 5 — for his endurance is the ethereal field over his power armour, not the flesh beneath it. He drops in with the apparition. At close range he burns down armour and elites alike, the fire that scours the soul as readily as the body. Warp-Madness leaves him unbreakable and fearless, then drags him toward the enemy when it takes him. Dread makes him hard to charge or target. And They Shall Know No Fear folds wholly into his resolve. He carries the special weapon and nothing grander: one gun, and the will of a dead man to use it.

The Heavy Legionnaire is the one great gun of a strike force too small to field a weapons squad. He materialises with a multi-melta, heavy flamer or plasma cannon braced against a dead shoulder. Every shot carries the Legion's curse — one point deeper through armour, and never a moment lost to a misfeed. The body under the plate is a plain Marine's, two attacks over three wounds at Toughness 5. What keeps him standing is not the flesh but the ethereal field the warp lays over his power armour. He is the anvil of the apparition. He drops in, and he levels heavy fire into whatever the line cannot break. Warp-Madness leaves him fearless and unbreakable — yet the same pull can drag even a heavy gunner toward the foe. Dread makes him terrible to face. And They Shall Know No Fear is subsumed entirely into his resolve. He carries the strike force's one big gun and little beside it: only the weight of cursed fire, and the dead patience to place it.

The Damned Legionnaire is the bolter-bulk of the revenant strike force — a rank-and-file Astartes who died with his weapon in hand and rose again to keep firing it. His statline is that of any Marine: a plain but transhuman body, Toughness 5 across three wounds, for the Legion's endurance lives not in the flesh but in the cold field that shrouds it. He materialises with the rest of the apparition, cursed boltgun and chainsword ready, wrapped in power armour over an ethereal field-save that turns aside what ceramite cannot. Warp-Madness leaves him unbreakable and fearless — And They Shall Know No Fear folds entirely into it — but also drags him toward the nearest foe when the madness takes him. Dread makes him terrible to charge or even to target. He does not stay dead easily; struck down, he may yet rise. A line of these walking corpses is the Legion's whole backbone: few, costly and impossible to rout.

The Relic Damned Dreadnought is a warrior of the Legion interred in a spectral sarcophagus — a dead Marine whose refusal to fall was answered by burying him in the hull of an ancient walker. Toughness 7 across five wounds, Strength 6 in its cursed fists, it is the one heavy body a dead band this small can field. It materialises with the apparition, the ghostly engine passing onto the field as the warriors do, then wades in with hull weapons and a Dreadnought fist, every gun Cursed like the rest of the Legion's arms. The warp that sustains the interred dead can flare through it: on the surge, its blows fall harder and bite deeper. Dread makes it a horror to face — the walking dead of the Chapter, entombed and still killing — and And They Shall Know No Fear folds into the cold constancy of the thing. It knows no fear because it has already died; it simply advances, and tears.
