  • Carries the narthecium to preserve the gene Seed; a bolt kit and a blade for its own defence

The Apothecary carries the narthecium to preserve the gene-seed of the fallen, and little else beyond a soldier's kit — a boltgun, a bolt pistol and a chainsword for its own defence. It follows the strike force to harvest and heal, armed just enough to fight its way clear when the raid turns.

  • The jump pack is always carried; basic weapons limited to the boltgun this is a close Assault guerrilla that strikes from above and fades, not a gunline trooper

The jump pack is always carried — the winged line is defined by it. Its basic weapon is the boltgun alone, for this is a close-assault raider that strikes from above and fades, not a gunline trooper. It takes a bolt, plasma or hand-flamer pistol and a chainsword, lightning claws, power sword or power fist for the descent into contact, with smoke to cover the leap back out.

  • Mark Gravis
  • Mark Terminator

  • No heavy weapons the shadow Captain strikes and fades, he does not hold a gunline; may take a jump pack, any mark up to the 2+ Terminator plate, and the Chapter's shadow Relics up to Raven's Talons

The shadow-captain takes no heavy weapon; it strikes and fades rather than holding a gunline. It may carry a jump pack, any plate up to the 2+ Terminator mark, and the Chapter's shadow-relics — the Shadowmantle, a camo-cloak, and the Raven's Talons themselves. Lightning claws, a power sword or a power fist arm it in melee, a bolt or plasma pistol and a carbine or boltgun at range, a raider's loadout for the brother who leads every raid from the unseen.

Centurion equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Centurion Warsuit
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Multi Melta
  • Lascannon
  • Frag Grenade
Restricted
  • The warsuit twin mount heavy weapons only; an off Identity siege answer the shadow War fields at zero by default

The warsuit's twin mount takes heavy weapons and nothing else. A heavy bolter, a multi-melta, a lascannon — one bolted to each fist. It is the rare siege-answer the shadow-war seldom fields: a wall of armour and heavy fire, kept back for the fight the ambush cannot settle alone.

Chaplain equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Jump Pack
  • Crozius
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Camo Cloak
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • Crozius and pistol only; may take a jump pack to lead the assault column or a camo Cloak to walk hidden with the infiltrators

The Chaplain carries the crozius and a bolt or plasma pistol, the dark conscience of the raid armed to strike at close quarters. It may take a jump pack to lead the assault column from above, or a camo-cloak to walk hidden with the infiltrators — either way, at the heart of the killing blow when the trap closes.

Dreadnought equipment list
Allowed
  • Heavy Bolter
  • Multi Melta
  • Lascannon
Restricted
  • Armament is walker Scoped the twin mount and the Dreadnought CCW are part of the chassis, not purchased from the shared racks

The Dreadnought's armament is fixed to the chassis. A heavy bolter, multi-melta or lascannon rides the twin mount; the great Dreadnought close-combat weapon hangs at its other arm. None of it comes from the shared racks — the interred hero walks to the fight already armed for it.

Librarian equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Terminator
  • Force Weapon
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Camo Cloak
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • Psyker force weapon and pistol only; may take Terminator plate and a camo Cloak

The Librarian arms as a psyker of the shadow-war: a force weapon and a bolt or plasma pistol, and nothing heavier. It may take Terminator plate for the rare stand-up fight and a camo-cloak to walk hidden with the infiltrators — the witch woven into the ambush rather than anchoring a line.

Lieutenant equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Mark Gravis
  • Mark Terminator
  • Jump Pack
  • Boltgun
  • Bolt Carbine
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Plasma Pistol
  • Lightning Claws
  • Power Sword
  • Power Fist
  • Camo Cloak
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • No heavy weapons; may take a jump pack, any mark up to Terminator, and a camo Cloak for the second infiltrating column

The Lieutenant takes no heavy weapon, arming instead for the swift raid it leads. It may carry a jump pack, any plate up to Terminator, and a camo-cloak to walk hidden with the second infiltrating column. Lightning claws, a power sword or a power fist serve in melee; a bolt or plasma pistol and a carbine or boltgun at range — the second officer kitted to split the strike into two blades and drive both home.

  • Astartes Shotgun
  • Flamer
  • Meltagun
  • Bolt Sniper Rifle
  • Heavy Bolter

  • Smoke
  • Frag Grenade

Restricted
  • The infiltrating line carbine and knife standard, camo Cloak and grapnel for the silent approach, the whisper Blade for the kill; heavy weapons are the off Lean Devastator answer only

The infiltrating line carries the Chapter's broadest list. Standard is the bolt-carbine and combat knife, with a camo-cloak and grapnel harness for the silent approach, smoke to cover the fade, and the whisper-blade for the kill. It may buy any bolt basic, the astartes shotgun, a sniper rifle, a flamer or meltagun, and — off its lean — a single Devastator-pattern heavy for the line's fire-support brother. It wears Power or Gravis plate and takes a bolt pistol, power sword or knife in melee.

Redemptor Dreadnought equipment list
Allowed
  • Multi Melta
  • Plasma Cannon
  • Heavy Flamer
Restricted
  • Gatling and the Redemptor fist are fitted to the chassis, not bought from the shared racks

The Redemptor's armament is fitted to the chassis. A multi-melta, plasma cannon or heavy flamer sits on the great mount; the Redemptor fist closes its other arm. It belongs to the walker, not the shared racks. The largest hunter of the strike force arrives already armed to break what nothing lighter can.

Scout equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Carapace
  • Boltgun
  • Bolt Carbine
  • Astartes Shotgun
  • Bolt Sniper Rifle
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Combat Knife
  • Whisper Blade
  • Camo Cloak
  • Smoke
  • Frag Grenade
Restricted
  • Phobos carapace only; sniper or carbine, the whisper Blade and camo Cloak for the silent forward kill and the fade

The Scout carries the forward-kill list. In Phobos carapace it takes a sniper rifle or bolt-carbine — the astartes shotgun or boltgun if it must fight closer — with a bolt pistol, combat knife, and the whisper-blade for the sentry that must die in silence. A camo-cloak lets it hold hidden and smoke covers the fade. It is the neophyte's whole art in a handful of gear: reach the ground unseen, take the shot, and be gone.

Techmarine equipment list
Allowed
  • Mark Power
  • Auspex
  • Boltgun
  • Bolt Pistol
  • Meltagun
  • Grav Gun
  • Power Fist
  • Frag Grenade
  • Krak Grenade
Restricted
  • The artificer melta and grav specials, a power fist, and the auspex to unmask a hidden foe before the strike

The Techmarine arms as the strike force's artificer. A meltagun or grav-gun to crack armour. A power fist for the close kill, a boltgun and bolt pistol besides. And the auspex — carried to unmask a hidden foe before the blades are drawn, the eye that finds the enemy first so the raid strikes where it will not be seen coming.
